Giving Isn’t Just The Third Box
It’s the cornerstone.
When we share the story of KeepSellGive, we always mention the fact that we have a generous family…and daughters with December birthdays. Two December babies in two years made it very clear, very quickly that we needed to stay on top of things from a home organization standpoint. But more importantly, we realized that we needed to teach our kids to appreciate what they have and understand that they have the opportunity to help someone who needs them.
So since the age of 3, our kids get a ‘Give’ box every November, right before ‘Gift Season’ really kicks in at our house. It’s not an easy task, especially when they’re young. They can’t imagine giving away any of their toys or favorite (ill-fitting) shirts. But we ask them to try. We don’t tell them to throw things out or give them away. We ask them what they don’t play with as much. And then we ask them if they could share it with another kid who will love it just as much as they did.
A few years in, we now see that they get it. They know their things will go to someone that appreciates it. They get excited to share their old toys and clothes with younger cousins, or to help mom drop off the box at Goodwill. It’s still not always easy, but they understand. And they’re proud when they do share with others.

Find A Donation Center
When your child decides to donate, the app shows parents nearby charities like Goodwill, Salvation Army, and more. We find donation centers close to your zip code and save you the search.
And if you want a different option? Feel free to add it yourself and make sure the charity of your choice is there.
Give To Someone You Know
Not everything goes to a charity. Sometimes the best home for that cherished toy is a friend, a cousin, or the kid next door. Your child names the person, and the app keeps track.
Giving 10 things to cousin Jack? Filter by his name and see the whole list. One click and it’s ready to go.
Track Your Impact
Every item your child gives is tracked in their Kidventory. Parents can see what's getting donated, who it's going to, and when it's ready to go. No buried boxes. No forgotten bags in the garage.
And over time? You can see how much of an impact your family has made, something each of you can be proud of.
