Welcome to our beta testing group! You are the first to try this app in the wild and we couldn’t be more excited. Please follow the steps below to get set up and get an overview of how it all works.

Then go to the next section to learn exactly how to put the app on your home page (depending on your device type). Thank you!!

Beta Testers: Instructions and Info

  • Go to https://app.keepsellgive.com to access the app on your computer, tablet or phone. We have the beta version outside of the app store so it is easier to access and update.

  • In the section below you can view the onboarding guide for both iOS and Android devices. There are small differences between each, so make sure you have the right one!

  • Try it yourself or install it on your children’s device. Your information is secure and we do not sell it to third parties in any form.

  • We want to hear from you. Honestly. So do us a favor and fill out the feedback form when you get a chance: https://forms.gle/cV6aLb9WdumWbUtX9

You can also use the Give Feedback button in the app.

  • The more users the better! Feedback is the #1 thing we want right now, to make sure this works for adults and kids alike. So if you want, send the link to a friend and get them to create their own account too!

Onboarding / Start-Up Guide

Pick your device type (Apple or Android) and follow the steps below to put the KeepSellGive app on your device.

(Note: this is required as our app’s beta version is not available through the App Store currently)

  • Follow these iOS / Safari-specific steps:

  • KeepSellGive runs as a web app that you save to your home screen. It’ll look and feel like a regular app once it’s installed.

    1. Open Safari (this won’t work in Chrome or other browsers — it has to be Safari)

    2. Go to: app.keepsellgive.com

    3. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with the arrow pointing up)

    4. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”

    5. Tap “Add” in the top right

    6. The KeepSellGive icon will appear on your home screen. Tap it to open the app going forward.

    1. Open the app and create a parent account with your email and a password

    2. Set up your family — add at least one child profile with a nickname and a 4-digit PIN

    3. Hand the phone to your kid (or pretend to be a kid — no judgment)

    4. On the “Who’s sorting today?” screen, tap the child’s avatar and enter their PIN

    5. Start snapping! Take a photo of an item, give it a name, and tap Keep, Sell, or Give

  • Your feedback is important. Let us know if anything is missing, broken, or confusing.

The easiest way: there’s a “Give Feedback” button inside the app. You’ll find it in the Parent Portal and in Settings. Tap it and it’ll open a short feedback form. It helps immensely.

You can also open the form directly: forms.gle/cV6aLb9WdumWbUtX9

    Common questions include:

    • The sorting flow — does snapping a photo and tapping Keep/Sell/Give feel natural and quick?

    • Helper Mode — there’s a toggle that uses image recognition to suggest item details from your photo. Does it help or get in the way?

    • The Parent Portal — can you see your kid’s items, stats, and settings without confusion?

    • The camera — does it open properly and take usable photos?

    • General feel — does anything seem broken, confusing, or ugly?

  • A Note About the Camera

When you tap to take a photo, your iPhone will slide up a panel asking you to “Take Photo” or choose from your photo library. This is normal for the web version — the final App Store version will have the camera built right into the app. For now, just tap “Take Photo,” snap the picture, and tap “Use Photo.” It works fine, it just has an extra step.

    Other Things of Note

    • You’ll see a “BETA” badge on the login screen. That’s intentional. This is an early version and things will not be perfect yet.

    • Your data is real but don’t put anything in here you’d be upset to lose. I may need to wipe data during testing although I will do my absolute best to avoid it and back up the files. Just sharing that worst-case scenario. (If you take a picture you can always upload it later).

    • The app icon is a placeholder. The final version will look better.

    • If something completely stops working, just close the app and reopen it from your home screen.

    THANK YOU!!!!

  • Follow these Android / Chrome-specific steps:

  • KeepSellGive runs as a web app that you save to your home screen. It’ll look and feel like a regular app once it’s installed.

    1. Open Chrome

    2. Go to: app.keepsellgive.com

    3. You should see a banner or popup at the bottom that says “Add KeepSellGive to Home screen” — tap “Install”

    4. If you don’t see the banner, tap the three-dot menu (top right) and tap “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”

    5. The KeepSellGive icon will appear on your home screen. Tap it to open the app.

    1. Open the app and create a parent account with your email and a password
